Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Cath Lab Circulator for a 13-week assignment requiring RLHC/PCI, peripheral, and EP circulating experience along with an active VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of a hospital setting as a Circulator
• 13-week assignment with 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) based on staffing needs
• Call requirements include 2-3 call shifts per week, consisting of long or short call, with approximately 2 call weekends within a 6-week period
• Short call during the week runs from 5:30 PM-8:00 PM as backup coverage, extending if cases are still in progress
• Weekend short call serves as backup coverage from 7:00 AM-2:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday
• Long call is overnight emergency coverage from 5:30 PM-7:00 AM, requiring on-site arrival within 30 minutes of being paged
• Weekend long call spans Friday 5:30 PM through Sunday 7:00 AM, with the call team responding to both emergent and non-emergent cases
• Uses Epic (CUPID Cath module) as the EMR system
• Floating may be required in rotation with regular staff, in accordance with facility policy and Joint Commission standards

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
• Required experience as a Cath Lab Circulator, including RLHC/PCI, peripheral, and EP circulating experience
• Epic EMR experience preferred; candidates without recent experience will complete a training class as part of orientation

Additional Information

• Serve as Circulator supporting cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Must reside within 30 miles or 30 minutes of the facility for on-call responsibilities
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Facility is smoke and nicotine free
• Flu vaccination is required during flu season (October 1-March 31), with exemption requests subject to CMS guideline compliance
• COVID vaccination or qualified exemption may be required, subject to CMS guideline compliance
• Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• Time off requests should be minimal and must be submitted with the initial application, as approval is at the discretion of the unit manager
• Expect to work some holidays during the assignment
• Orientation includes up to 7 non-billable hours of required training modules, which vary by specialty
