Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment requiring 1+ year of recent home health experience and HCHB EMR experience.
Details
- Home Health setting covering Tacoma and Seattle area territories, including north King County and south King County/north Pierce County
- Patient population primarily geriatric
- Role is focused mostly on evaluations and start of care (SOC) visits
- Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day
- Territory requires flexibility within up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub
- Expected to visit the main office weekly or biweekly for team meetings and to pick up supplies and admission packets
- Uses HCHB EMR system
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience required
- Home Health experience required
- OASIS experience required
- HCHB EMR experience required
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Timely documentation and communication skills required
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include conducting evaluations, start of care (SOC) visits, home exercise programs, and patient/family education
- Treats conditions including orthopedic, neurologic, and post-surgical cases such as total hip/knee replacement, spinal conditions, stroke rehabilitation, and traumatic brain injury
- Scrubs required in any color; jeans not permitted
- iPad provided for documentation; personal cell phone not required
- Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
- Traveler must be flexible with assigned territory coverage
