Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Spine & Total Joint unit requiring at least one year of recent hospital OR experience and prior Spine and Joint experience.
Details
- Work in the Spine and Joint Hip Preservation Center within a hospital operating room setting
- Unit includes 9 ORs for Spine and Joint procedures and 4 ORs for the International Hip Preservation Center
- Staffs 8-11 rooms daily Monday through Friday with a Charge RN and Unit Secretary
- Saturdays and Sundays are call only
- Night call runs from 5P to 11P Monday through Friday with no overnight shift required
- Common procedures include spine fusions, ALIFs, and total joint replacements
- Uses Meditech/CPN EMR system
- Day shift hours are 6:45A to 4:45P
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO state or compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital OR experience required
- Spine and Joint experience required
- Joint scrub experience preferred
- Prior Meditech experience preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care for spine and total joint surgical patients
- Collaborate closely with surgical staff and providers, requiring strong communication skills
- Flexibility and solid patient care experience are valued personality traits for this role
- 30-minute response time required for on-call shifts
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
