Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring CA RN licensure, BLS, and NRP certifications.

- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00

Requirements
- Active CA RN license required (compact license must be in hand at time of consideration)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate
- Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal heart monitoring and IUPC placement/calibration
- Experience with high-risk delivery, C-section circulation, and vaginal delivery assistance
- Experience administering medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Postpartum and newborn care experience, including couplet care and newborn assessment
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum care in a 200-bed acute care hospital
- Support neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation
- Assist with surgical procedures such as C-section recovery, cervical cerclage, and D&C as needed
- Offer breastfeeding support and postpartum education to patients and families
- Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration; post-offer RTO changes may not be accommodated
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted, potentially at a lower bill rate
- Former Providence facility employees may reapply as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Free parking provided on-site
- Royal blue scrubs required for RN staff; scrubs provided for Labor and Delivery/Cath Lab roles
