Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of recent CVPICU experience and PALS/BLS certification.
Details
- ICU ()ting environment
- Variable day/night shifts scheduled as 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00 or 19:00-7:00)
- Weekend requirements 6 shifts per 4-week schedule with night shift covering Fri/Sat combinations and day shift covering Sat/Sun
- Floating within scope of practice required to meet facility needs
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- >recent CVPICU experience (2 years minimum) leading directly up to the assignment
- Pediatric cardiac training required
- Heart transplant experience required
- Active CA RN license required in hand, or ETA from licensing accepted
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation required
- Strong cardiac skills including CVP monitoring, congenital heart disease/repair, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- First-time travelers considered only with strong CVPICU experience

- Any scrub color permitted
- Free traveler parking available
- Maximum RTO of 6 days, with no holiday RTO allowed
- Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Minimum 3 shifts per week required even with RTO taken
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel
- Travelers who complete a full year at this facility or its affiliated hospital must wait 90 days before returning as a traveler
- Compliance documents must be completed by the Wednesday prior to start
