Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of recent CVPICU experience and PALS/BLS certification.

Details

ICU ()ting environment
Variable day/night shifts scheduled as 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00 or 19:00-7:00)
Weekend requirements 6 shifts per 4-week schedule with night shift covering Fri/Sat combinations and day shift covering Sat/Sun
Floating within scope of practice required to meet facility needs
No on-call requirements
Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

>recent CVPICU experience (2 years minimum) leading directly up to the assignment
Pediatric cardiac training required
Heart transplant experience required
Active CA RN license required in hand, or ETA from licensing accepted
Current BLS and PALS certifications required
Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation required
Strong cardiac skills including CVP monitoring, congenital heart disease/repair, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
Prior travel nursing experience required
First-time travelers considered only with strong CVPICU experience

Any scrub color permitted
Free traveler parking available
Maximum RTO of 6 days, with no holiday RTO allowed
Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Minimum 3 shifts per week required even with RTO taken
Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel
Travelers who complete a full year at this facility or its affiliated hospital must wait 90 days before returning as a traveler
Compliance documents must be completed by the Wednesday prior to start
