Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for an 8-week acute care assignment requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience with critical care background and MN RN licensure.

Details

• Cath Lab unit in an acute care, teaching hospital that is a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Average daily census of 10-20 cases across 4 labs with approximately 12 visits per day
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts starting at 7:30 AM
• On-call required approximately every 4th weekend and 1-2 weekdays per week based on department need
• May float between Coon Rapids and Unity campuses as needed
• Uses Epic (Excellian) for charting
• Conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring required
• Scrub and ventilator management skills preferred

Requirements

• Active MN RN license (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience with some critical care background required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• 1:1 patient ratio experience
• Supervisor reference required for consideration
• Documentation required for consideration includes date of birth, SSN, and certification copies

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, and vascular closure
• Monitor patients under procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias
• Perform sheath removal, ACT monitoring, and topical hemostasis techniques
• Scrubs provided by facility
• No parking fees at this facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible, as locals are only accepted for radiology positions
• Previous perm staff or per diem employees must have a 3-month gap since their last shift to be eligible to return
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
