Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and Epic charting proficiency for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Outpatient setting treating chronic, acute, and post-op orthopedic conditions with occasional neurological cases
• 5x8 day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week contract length
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• Manual Therapy certification required
• PTA certification required
• Hand Therapy certification preferred
• State or Compact PT license required at time of submission, if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Must be able to perform lifting and patient transfers

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic and occasional neurological caseloads
• Utilizes modalities such as e-stim, ultrasound, traction, and cryotherapy as part of treatment plans
• Provides home exercise programs and patient/family education
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
