Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN with at least 1 year of interventional cardiac cath lab experience for a day-shift assignment requiring an active IL RN license.
Details
- Work in a 5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25 patients
- Day shift schedule of 4x12 or 3x12 hours (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Will work 2-3 weekends per contract
- On-call required as needed
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities to meet facility needs
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required in hand at time of application
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiac cath lab experience required
- Required procedural experience: circulating procedures, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Required medication experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Required skills in dysrhythmia interpretation/management and procedural sedation monitoring
- Cerner charting experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Work in a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- RTO requests ideally limited to 5 or fewer non-holiday days
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted for this specialty
- Travel pairs are not accepted
