Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required Epic charting experience for a community hospital night shift position.

Details

• Community hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Cares for adult critical care and emergency department patients, including COVID-positive cases
• Provides care for conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, cystic fibrosis, fresh tracheostomy, and pneumonia
• Performs ventilator management, ABG interpretation, airway management, suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene procedures
• Uses medication delivery systems including MDIs, nebulizers, and various aerosol setups
• 0.9 FTE schedule with a mix of 12-hour (7p-7a) and 8-hour (11p-7a) night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call or floating requirements

Requirements

• RRT certification required (CRT not accepted)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• License required if applicable

• Provides respiratory and neuro diagnostic services within a fast-paced clinical environment
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary care team supporting critical care and emergency patients
• May care for patients with COVID-19
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius may be considered at a lower pay rate
