Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of recent CVPICU experience and a CA RN license.
Details
- Works in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a Level 1 trauma, Magnet-recognized children's teaching hospital
- 13-week assignment with a variable day/night schedule (3x12-hour shifts)
- Day shift hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Fri/Sat nights or Sat/Sun days)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within scope of practice to meet facility needs
- Utilizes Epic for charting
- 30 staffed beds on the unit
- Scrubs of any color permitted
- Free traveler parking available
Requirements
- ,
- Active California RN license required in hand, or a confirmed ETA for licensure at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric CVICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Cardiac-trained with strong cardiac skills required
- Heart transplant experience required
- Experience with ventilator management, multiple patient monitors, and EKG interpretation required
- Experience with congenital heart disease/repair and post cardiac surgery care required
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
- Skills in central line care, arterial line management, and continuous sedation required
- Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and use of the Broselow system required
