Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring cardiac catheterization experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab department of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Candidates will float within scope if needed
• Utilizes Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required and must be in hand at time of application
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required Epic charting system experience
• BSN preferred
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation); diploma, Associate's, and BSN degrees accepted
• Skills required include circulating procedures, ventilator management, medication administration, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and cardiac cath lab procedures
• Scrub procedures skills preferred
• 2 professional references required (supervisor level or above)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrub procedures, ventilator management, medication administration, and procedural sedation monitoring for cardiac catheterization cases
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy
• Drug and tobacco-free workplace; smoking is not permitted on campus
• All candidates will complete required modules during orientation week through the facility's Learning Exchange system
• Local candidates are accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
• Both travelers and permanent staff must have a gap of at least one year since their last employment with the facility before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application for manager approval; no time off will be granted during the first week of the assignment
• Candidates should not work over 40 hours per week unless approved by the unit manager
