Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring strong MS/Tele experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- West unit) in a hospital setting focused on Medical/Surgical Telemetry care
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Assignment length options of 13 to 26 weeks
- Floating to other units and campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to units where competencies have been demonstrated
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with 1+ years of recent experience in a similar unit
- Strong Med/Surg Tele experience required
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
- Orientation occurs every Monday, with an annual compliance requirement
- Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
- Candidates must be located more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rates available for those 90-99.9 miles away
- Night shift travelers in this specialty must live 50+ miles from the contracted campus, with full pay eligibility at 100+ miles and reduced rates for 50-99.9 miles
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible for this position
- Travelers cannot extend beyond a third consecutive 13-week contract or 39 weeks without converting to employee status
- Travelers who do not convert to employee status must take a minimum six-month separation before returning as a traveler
