Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level I and II Trauma experience and Charge RN capability at a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed beds
• Level II Trauma Center
• Operating Room unit performing a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, trauma, orthopedic, urology, ENT, thoracic, bariatric, and robotic surgery
• Utilizes DaVinci Xi and DaVinci V robotic surgical systems
• Uses Epic charting system
• Evening shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM)
• Weekend rotation required
• Call responsibilities required
• Charge RN role required to work charge as needed

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required prior to start (allow 15-21 business days for CT license issuance)
• Minimum 5 years of Operating Room experience required
• Minimum 3 years of Charge RN experience preferred
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience required
• Minimum 3 prior travel assignments in Level I Trauma or high trauma settings required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only

Additional Information

• Serve as Charge RN as needed in addition to primary OR nursing duties
• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Candidates must not reside within 75 miles of the hospital to be considered eligible for this position
• Former staff members must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
