Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a long-term care facility, requiring a compact RN license and night shift availability.
Details
- Long-term care setting providing care to residents at a skilled nursing, sub-acute, and dementia care facility
- Uses PointClickCare (PCC) EMR system
- Night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
- Supports specialized care areas including PT, OT, SUD, and pain management
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Proficiency in memory care techniques and protocols
- Knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments for long-term care facilities
- Experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute, and dementia care units
- Strong background in case management practices
- IV skills, IV medication administration, tube feeding, and light wound care experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and task management skills
Additional Information
- Administer medications and assess resident health problems to develop and implement nursing care plans
- Monitor resident progress and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- Two professional references from managers required for consideration
