Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring Charge RN experience, telemetry expertise, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- hospital-based Cardiac Telemetry unit serving as a pre/post area for Cath Lab, EP Lab, PV Lab, and Interventional Radiology patients
- patient population includes arterial and venous access patients, radial and ulnar access patients, and Same Day PCI patients
- not all patients require telemetry monitoring
- patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
- no weekends or holidays required
- Epic EMR used
- floating to any Cone Health campus may be required
Requirements
- active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- prior Charge RN experience required
- telemetry nursing experience required
- understanding of arterial and venous access patient care, including radial and ulnar access and hemostasis management
- dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG skills required
- Epic charting system experience required
- must pass a compliance EKG exam with a maximum of two attempts
- current driver's license required for address verification
Additional Information
- provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response for pre/post procedural patients
- monitor arterial and venous access sites for hemostasis
- first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, and no local rates apply
- RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
