Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital position requiring 18 months of specialty experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license (Permanent) or compact license required in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applying specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with up to 2 attempts allowed
• Negative background check required with no open cases
• No license hits accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients in a hospital setting
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break from the health system is required
• Travelers who remain on continuous contract for at least 1 year or return in a subsequent year may be required to complete annual hands-on competency training if they attended orientation the prior year
