Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Work in the Surgery department of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Rotating call requirements
- Rotating weekend and holiday shift requirements
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic EMR charting experience required
Additional Information
- Serve as a professional caregiver responsible for a designated group of surgical patients
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Implement and modify nursing interventions and care plans based on continuous evaluation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for care coordination with the healthcare team
- Report and correct safety hazards and incidents to ensure patient and employee safety
- Provide constructive feedback to peers and participate in ongoing professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO limited to no more than 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at Carle Health locations for more than one year without a 6-month break in service
