Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pre-Op/Post-Op position requiring 3-5 years of specialty experience and ACLS/PALS certification.

Details

• Work in the Surgery Pre-Op & Phase II Recovery unit of a hospital environment
• 20-bed unit supporting ambulatory surgery patients
• Patient population includes general, colorectal, GYN, urology, uro-gyn, bariatric, and orthopedic surgery patients
• Patient ratios of 1:1 in pre-op and 3:1 in post-op
• Uses Phase 2 recovery equipment
• EPIC EMR experience required
• 4x10-hour day shifts per week with varying days, typically 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM (some shifts 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
• Minimal call requirements, no more than 3-4 shifts per 6-week schedule if needed
• Late stay call required Monday through Friday if needed
• No weekend shifts required unless needed
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 3-5 years of recent Pre-Op/Post-Op experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to ambulatory surgery patients in pre-op and post-op phases
• Work in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team
• Hospital-provided scrubs required with adherence to procedural area dress code, including restrictions on outside jackets
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for standard travel pay rate; local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate
