Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring ACLS, PALS, and NV licensure.
Details
- Work in the Acute Care Services unit of a Joint Commission accredited hospital
- Medical Surgical Combination unit with Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics specialties
- 23-bed unit with patient ratio of 1:5
- Patient population includes Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients
- Common diagnoses include COPD, CHF, Pre/Post Cath Lab, Ortho SX, Gen SX, and Acute Respiratory Failure (Adult & Pediatric)
- Uses Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Telemetry Monitoring system
- MEDHOST EHR system used
- 12-hour night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Potential to float to other departments depending on patient census and department needs
- Call requirements as per contract
Requirements
- Active NV RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (ACLS within 60 days and PALS within 90 days of start date if not already held)
- Minimum 1+ years of experience required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Med/Surg and Telemetry experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care across Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatric populations
- Fit testing offered on-site to travelers
- No mandatory scrub color required
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel position
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- Weekly orientations offered
