Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring ACLS, PALS, and NV licensure.

Details

• Work in the Acute Care Services unit of a Joint Commission accredited hospital
• Medical Surgical Combination unit with Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics specialties
• 23-bed unit with patient ratio of 1:5
• Patient population includes Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients
• Common diagnoses include COPD, CHF, Pre/Post Cath Lab, Ortho SX, Gen SX, and Acute Respiratory Failure (Adult & Pediatric)
• Uses Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Telemetry Monitoring system
• MEDHOST EHR system used
• 12-hour night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Potential to float to other departments depending on patient census and department needs
• Call requirements as per contract

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (ACLS within 60 days and PALS within 90 days of start date if not already held)
• Minimum 1+ years of experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Med/Surg and Telemetry experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatric populations
• Fit testing offered on-site to travelers
• No mandatory scrub color required
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
