Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring Level I trauma center ICU experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool at a Level I trauma center
• Float across multiple ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU)
• Care for ICU/PCC patients boarding in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 48 hours per week available for those interested
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across a variety of ICU units highly desired
• Required certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of consideration, with up to 2 attempts to pass
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted for flu vaccination

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period may result in contract termination
• Make-up shifts for call-outs must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• No blocked scheduling permitted
