Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring 2 years of ICU experience, prior travel assignment history, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Work within the Critical Care Float Pool at a Level I trauma center
• Float across multiple ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU)
• Care for ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and other required certifications from AHA or RQI
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience floating across a variety of ICU settings highly desired
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing assignment experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Medical exemption required for flu declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)
• Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing across a range of ICU units based on daily staffing needs
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
