Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week contract requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and a Montana or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license in Montana or compact license required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required, not expiring prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the PACU specialty required
• ASN required, graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• BSN preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for PACU patients
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy directly to patients or through consultation, delegation, or supervision of others
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, and refer patients for further evaluation as needed
• Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screening required, with candidates expected to report for drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment
