Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week contract requiring an active NY RN license and on-call availability.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room/ASU setting of a hospital environment
- 8-hour day shifts, 5 shifts per week (7a-3:30p)
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience preferred for experienced RNs
- Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and patient assessment across clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
- Skilled in lethal dysrhythmia interpretation
- Knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation used in maintaining a safe/aseptic OR/ASU environment
- Strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
Additional Information
- May be required to assume charge nurse duties
- Must recognize safety issues and safely implement use of lifts to move patients
- Must function well in high-stress situations with strong, creative problem-solving skills
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
