Description
American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a 13-week assignment requiring 1+ year of experience and community hospital experience.
Details
- Short term acute care, Level IV Trauma Center setting with 60 total staff beds
- Ultrasound Tech - General unit within Radiology/Cardiology
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Weekend coverage required (Friday-Sunday, potentially shifting to Saturday-Monday)
- Block schedule required
- No on-call requirements
- No floating between units at the contracted facility, though floating between sister facilities nearby may be expected
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Baseline vascular ultrasound experience needed
- Community hospital experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- ARDMS AB and ARDMS OB/GYN certifications required
- ARRT S certification required
- BLS certification required
- Valid state license required (License required if applicable); compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Skills required include OB/GYN imaging across all trimesters, fetal anatomical survey, general abdominal ultrasound (abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, spleen), vascular studies (aorta, arterial mapping, carotid, doppler studies, lower/upper extremity arterial and venous, peripheral vascular resistance, renal artery duplex, transcranial doppler), pediatric imaging, small parts imaging, and neonatal imaging
- Experience with GE and Philips equipment and PACS system required
- Experience with procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound-guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration preferred
- IV start skills preferred
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required
Additional Information
- Adult patient population across Emergency Department, Obstetrics, and other settings
- Perform general ultrasound, OB/GYN, vascular, pediatric, small parts, and neonatal imaging studies
- Scrub color is flexible (any color) or business casual attire permitted
- No parking fees at this facility
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or registry/per-diem staff, including location and dates
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower bill rate
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the submission process, as post-offer requests may not be granted
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
