Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 2B Special Care Nursery position requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Work in a 25-bed unit encompassing L&D, PP, NBN, 2 ORs, 2 ANU rooms, and a recovery room
- Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care patient population
- Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
- Clinician-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural patients, and 1:3-4 for postpartum patients
- 5 L&D rooms, 12 PP beds, 2 ORs with recovery room, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
- Uses EPIC EMR for charting
- 36-hour schedule with rotating days, evenings, and nights (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a)
- Requires 1 night of call and every other weekend (EOW) coverage
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
- 2+ years of NICU experience required
- 3 years of experience working in one location or 2 years of experience as a traveler required
- Skill sets required in Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care
- Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start
Additional Information
- Provide specialized nursing care within a Level 2B Special Care Nursery setting
- Flu vaccination required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be considered local, with a reduced rate applying to local candidates
- RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
