Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a night shift travel position at a hospital in Fort Worth, TX.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a full-service hospital
- NICU patient population with experience required in this specialty
- Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week assignment length
- Documentation system used is Meditech
- Perform procedures including ABGs, assist with intubation, nebulizer treatments, Metaneb, IPPB, and CPT
Requirements
- Active RRT license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certification required for staff caring for neonates
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
- ICU, NICU, and ED experience required
- Must be able to draw ABGs
- Experience with Servo I ventilator preferred
- Experience with I-Stat preferred
- Good customer service skills required
- Experience with all age range of patients required
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care services to neonatal patients in a NICU setting
- Perform bedside procedures and assist with intubation as part of daily responsibilities
- Black scrubs required and must be purchased by the candidate
- Nails must be clean and healthy with no artificial enhancements
- Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
- Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Body art should be covered whenever possible
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
- Company-wide attendance policy applies
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility with no exceptions for local candidates
