Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring an active IN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- Work on a 16-bed Med/Surg unit that floats staff with a 16-bed Ortho unit
- Care for a combined Med/Surg and Orthopedic patient population
- Maximum ratio of 5 patients to 1 RN with a PCT scheduled on both units depending on census
- Uses Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) EMR, prior experience is a plus
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- Weekend rotation required every 3 weeks
- Holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required (must be AHA)
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Implement and monitor patient care plans while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition
- Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
