Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification and 1+ years of specialty experience to support general nuclear medicine, PET, and cardiac studies.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department covering general nuclear medicine, PET, and cardiac studies
- Department also performs Y90, Lutathera, and Pluvicto therapies
- Unit doses are supplied daily by an outside radiopharmacy
- Normal department operating hours are 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Daily duties include QA, venipuncture, and scheduled exam protocol review
- PACS and PET experience required
- ER, Adult ICU, phlebotomy, radiation planning therapy, Y90, Lutathera, and Pluvicto experience preferred
- Epic and Cerner experience preferred
- No floating to hospital units or affiliate hospitals unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer
Requirements
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required at time of hire
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Nuclear Medicine specialty
- Experience with bone scans, whole body and limited bone imaging, and 3-phase studies
- Experience with myocardial perfusion studies including adenosine infusion, exercise/rest single and multiple, and pharmacological stress testing
- SPECT imaging experience including bone, liver, and renal studies
- Experience with sestamibi parathyroid scans and thyroid studies including cancer survey and uptake scans
- Renal flow, function, and perfusion studies experience, including with Lasix
- Lung scan experience including perfusion and ventilation/perfusion studies
- PET scan procedure experience preferred
- Community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Ability to start and maintain IVs
- Cerner charting system experience preferred
- References required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform general nuclear medicine, PET, and cardiac imaging studies along with therapeutic procedures such as Y90, Lutathera, and Pluvicto
- Responsible for daily QA, venipuncture, and reviewing scheduled exam protocols
- GE equipment used in the department
- Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted
- Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before being eligible
- Background checks with license or background hits may be considered on a case-by-case basis
