Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift assignment requiring a UT or compact RN license and telemetry/float experience across acuity levels.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with Trauma Level 3 designation
• MST Float Pool position within the UT Zone 2 float zone, primarily Telemetry unit type
• Float requirements include coverage across ICU (low acuity holds within skillset), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units within the zone
• May float mid-shift with paid travel time, and may be asked to work in a CNA/Sitter capacity during low census periods
• Night shift schedule, 6p-6a, working every other weekend
• 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 16-week assignment length with 3 open positions

Requirements

• Active UT or Compact RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS (active, not pending)
• BSN not required for this position
• Telemetry and acute care float experience required across varying acuity levels
• Must provide a copy of driver's license for consideration
• Nursys license verification required

Additional Information

• Expected to float throughout all locations within the assigned 60-mile Zone 2 radius, regardless of chosen housing location
• Traveler is responsible for securing housing that allows them to meet the full zone float requirement
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (zone city center for float positions) to be eligible
• Must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
