Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital position requiring at least 1 year of inpatient acute care experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital setting within a short-term acute care, teaching hospital with 536 total staff beds
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Weekend work required, varying approximately 4 weekend days per month
- Block scheduling required
- Position may float between units
- No on-call requirements
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Inpatient acute care hospital experience required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
- Epic charting experience required
- BLS certification required
- NBCOT certification required
- Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
- Skilled in patient assessment, evaluation, discharge planning, plan of care, and reassessments
- Experience with home exercise programs, patient/family education, and safety/injury prevention
- Proficient in lifting and transfer techniques
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include documentation, billing, assessments, evaluations, and discharge planning within an acute care setting
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Scrub color requirement: any color for general units; OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided
- No parking fees at this facility
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Returning staff who previously worked at this facility as permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
- Traveler must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
