Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active MI license, telemetry experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Mixed unit combining PCU, Med Surg/Tele, and Med Surg
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 18:30-7:00
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within service line and scope of practice as needed
• Uses Pyxis medication system
• Telemetry monitoring required
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required in hand
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with IV insulin protocols preferred
• Experience with nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the last 24 months required
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Navy scrub color required
• Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required
• Requested time off of 7+ days requires manager approval and cannot include holidays or the days immediately following holidays
• Returning staff must have been separated from permanent employment for at least 1 year
• Travel pairs may be submitted together, with restrictions if candidates are related
