Description
American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a weekend-focused evening shift position requiring circulating experience with urgent/emergent Ortho and Neuro cases.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Evening shift (3x12 Hours), 11:00-23:00
- Weekend coverage required on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday block schedule
- No floating between units required
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR required (hardstop requirement)
- Circulates a wide variety of urgent/emergent cases, including Orthopedic and Neurology procedures
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Skills/experience with Gynecology, Neurology, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Urology, and ENT procedures preferred
- Experience with robotics (Da Vinci Xi Surgical System) preferred
- Experience with equipment such as cell saver and electrosurgical units preferred
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Circulate a wide variety of urgent and emergent surgical cases with a focus on Orthopedic and Neurology procedures
- Scrub color for RNs is any color
- No parking fees at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted up-front; requests made after submission or offer may not be granted
- May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are accepted at a lower bill rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Weekend coverage (1st timers considered) position
