Description

American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for a night shift inpatient rehabilitation position requiring 2 years of RN experience and an active WV or Compact RN license.

Details

• in a 24-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Patient population includes cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputees, spinal cord injuries, neurological diseases, and severe deconditioning
• Interdisciplinary care team includes physiatrist, NP, RN, therapists, and social worker collaborating on patient plans
• Patients typically receive 3 hours of therapy daily, Monday through Friday, with an average length of stay of about 2 weeks
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7pm-7am
• Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 (days) and 1:5-6 (nights)
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• , must be active or eligible in WV or Compact license, pending license accepted for consideration but must be active by start date
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of in-specialty (inpatient rehabilitation) experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
• BLS certification required through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Cerner charting experience required
• Two Manager or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
