Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of critical care experience for a night shift position in a hospital's respiratory therapy department.

Details

• Work within a hospital respiratory therapy department
• Adult and neonatal patient population preferred
• Provide respiratory care in various critical care units, general respiratory care, and adult and pediatric emergency room settings
• Perform ventilator management, arterial blood gases, CPAP/BIPAP, O2 therapy, CPT, and aerosolized medication administration
• Participate in CPR/code team response
• Utilize computerized documentation systems
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• State license required if applicable
• BLS/CPR certification via AHA required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience including critical care experience
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Experience at a comparable facility size preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient respiratory care treatments and assist in evaluating patients with respiratory illness
• Work as part of a critical care and code team
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate outside a 60-mile radius
