Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department float pool position requiring UT or compact RN licensure and a variety of emergency certifications.
Details
- Acute care setting within an ER Float Pool covering Zone 2 in Utah
- Level 4 trauma facility
- Night shift schedule, 6p-6a, every other weekend
- 12-hour shifts totaling 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Required to float within the assigned zone to other locations, potentially mid-shift with paid travel time
- May be asked to float in a CNA or Sitter capacity during low census periods to help meet required hours
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active UT or Compact RN license required, pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- BSN not required for this position
- Active certifications required for all listed credentials, pending certifications not accepted
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Provide emergency department nursing care across multiple locations within the assigned float zone
- Candidates must secure housing that allows them to meet the full float radius requirement of the zone regardless of where they choose to live
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the zone's city center to be eligible for this position
- Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if initial training modules are completed remotely
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
