Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring TX or compact RN license, TNCC, and CPI certifications.
Details
- Work in a 22-bed Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED)
- Unit staffed with a mix of RNs and CNCs across day, mid, and night shifts
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Uses splinting equipment, defibrillators, Hamilton Vent, Welch Alyn devices, and bedside cardiac monitoring
- EMR is Meditech Magic, transitioning to Meditech Expanse
- Night shift schedule from 7p-7a over a 13-week assignment
- Weekend requirement is flexible, either as needed or every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- May be required to float to Fairmont FSED if needed
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI
- Preferred certifications: ENPC and NRP
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Experience performing IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedations, and splinting
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care in a fast-paced FSED setting focused on teamwork and patient experience
- Dress code requires royal blue scrubs, closed-toed shoes, and a stethoscope available for assessments; no false nails, air pods, or smart glasses permitted
- Nurses station area subject to no food or drink policy per regulatory guidelines
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
