Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring TX or compact RN license, TNCC, and CPI certifications.

Details

• Work in a 22-bed Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED)
• Unit staffed with a mix of RNs and CNCs across day, mid, and night shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses splinting equipment, defibrillators, Hamilton Vent, Welch Alyn devices, and bedside cardiac monitoring
• EMR is Meditech Magic, transitioning to Meditech Expanse
• Night shift schedule from 7p-7a over a 13-week assignment
• Weekend requirement is flexible, either as needed or every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float to Fairmont FSED if needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI
• Preferred certifications: ENPC and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Experience performing IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedations, and splinting
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care in a fast-paced FSED setting focused on teamwork and patient experience
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs, closed-toed shoes, and a stethoscope available for assessments; no false nails, air pods, or smart glasses permitted
• Nurses station area subject to no food or drink policy per regulatory guidelines
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
