Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ER experience for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Rotating 12-hour shifts including 7A-7:30P and 7P-7:30A
- Every other weekend required
- Call requirements apply
- Floating required as needed per hospital floating policy
- Uses Meditech documentation system
- Performs conscious sedation, participates in intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis care, stroke (tPA administration), and chest pain (heart alert) protocols
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact license required (temporary license not accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- CEN certification preferred
- Meditech experience preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO)
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Deliver emergency care across a range of acute conditions including stroke, cardiac, and behavioral health cases
- Navy scrub color required for RNs, with white, navy, or black undershirts/jackets only
- Nail, hair, tattoo, and piercing policies enforced per facility dress code guidelines
- Must adhere to facility floating guidelines, acknowledgment forms, and attendance policies
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
