Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a Breast Health Center, requiring proficiency in mammography, breast ultrasound, and stereotactic/US-guided biopsies.

Details

• Work in a Breast Health Center performing screening and diagnostic mammography
• Perform DEXA bone density scans, breast ultrasound, and stereo/US-guided biopsies
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• 80 hours biweekly with possibility of some Saturday shifts
• Facility offers one Saturday half-day per month to the community
• Primary assignment location is Beaufort with rotation to the Okatie Women's Imaging Center
• May be required to rotate to other Women's Imaging Centers as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR, with experience preferred but not required
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff
• High patient-to-caregiver ratios with frequent floating within the hospital, in accordance with facility and Joint Commission floating policies

Requirements

• Valid state license required (if applicable)
• AHA certifications required, with specific requirements confirmed at the job level
• Proficiency in screening and diagnostic mammography, DEXA bone density scans, and breast ultrasound
• Experience performing stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Willingness to rotate to Saturday shifts and other Women's Imaging Centers as needed

Additional Information

• Perform mammography and breast sonography duties across screening, diagnostic, and biopsy procedures
• Floating occurs in rotation with staff based on clinical experience and includes appropriate orientation to new units
• Minimal to no RTO approved for this assignment; any RTO must be discussed and approved prior to assignment start
• Preferably no RTO requested during the first few weeks of the assignment
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rates, as local candidates are not accepted
• Former employees must have been separated for at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to be eligible for return
