Description
American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of related nursing experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room/General Surgery department
- 13-week travel assignment
- Full-time schedule with day shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Multiple shifts available
Requirements
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned surgical patients
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Practice independently while making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers as needed
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Local candidates may be accepted for consideration
