Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for the Heart and Vascular Institute, requiring 2+ years of experience and pediatric echo experience.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting with 11 imaging rooms within the Heart and Vascular Institute
- Adult and pediatric patient population
- Performs routine scans (Complete/Limited), 2D measurements, strain imaging, TEE, and Stress Echo
- Averages 8 outpatient and 6-8 inpatient patients per day
- Uses Philips Cv-x and 7C ultrasound equipment
- Charts in EPIC EMR
- 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Floats from the clinic to the hospital as needed
- Call coverage in the hospital required 6 nights per month with weekend call occurring every 6-7 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiac sonography experience required
- Pediatric echo experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification required
- License required if applicable
- AAS degree required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Supported by a Patient Service Rep, RNs, 17 additional sonographers, 14 cardiologists, and a Clinical Informaticist
- 5-day orientation provided
- Holiday coverage is included as part of the weekend/call rotation
- Time off requests require manager approval
- Black scrub color required
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility
- Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler
