Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring CT/compact RN license, community hospital experience, and critical care skills including Swan-Ganz monitoring.
Details
- Work in the ICU of a hospital environment
- Adult patient population
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30
- 36-hour schedules accepted
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Float required to Med-Surg/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice
- Uses Accudose medication system
- Documents in Cerner EMR
- Uses SBAR communication system
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS and BLS
- CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring required
- Central line care and management experience required
- Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience caring for ventilated patients and ventilator management required
- Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including cardiovascular and respiratory/thoracic cases
- Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Adherence to infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE protocols required
- Blue scrubs required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and may be offered a reduced rate
