Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active PA or compact RN license and prior specialty experience.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shift 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
• Variable weekend rotation required
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Charting system experience required (any system)

Requirements

• Active PA license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience using Rapid Response/Code teams
• Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Experience with peripheral line care and management
• Skilled in oxygen administration, nasal cannula use, and oxygen tank management
• Experience with non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Two valid professional references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required for this assignment
• Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• PA fingerprints required within one week of contract signing, which may involve travel over 100 miles
• Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Pass/fail competency exam required for clearance, with up to three attempts allowed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; time off requests after submission cannot be accommodated
