Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist requiring VT/NH licensure or compact license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Home health setting covering more than 70 towns across Vermont and New Hampshire
• Day shift, full-time schedule
• 16-week assignment
• Average patient visits exceed 60 minutes, allowing significant time for meaningful therapy
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary patient-care team

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist license in Vermont and New Hampshire or unencumbered compact license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BS in Occupational Therapy or postgraduate Occupational Therapy Certification program required
• Must have passed National Registration Exam
• BLS certification required
• Home health setting experience preferred
• ASHA, CHT, or ACP training certifications may be applicable

Additional Information

• Assess patients' functional abilities and provide direct treatments
• Select and implement appropriate therapeutic modalities
• Communicate and coordinate treatment activities with interdisciplinary team members
• Document evaluations, treatment goals, and objectives
• Educate patients and family members on treatment rationale and procedures
• Provided broad independence while working within a cohesive care team
