Description

American Traveler is hiring a Seasonal Travel RN for a PACU position requiring critical care or PACU experience and PALS/ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certification.

Details

• PACU/Pre-Op unit within a hospital setting
• Unit spans Main, Surgical Robotics, and Orthopedic Surgery Center with 59 total Pre-Op and PACU bays
• Staff floats between Main, Surgical Robotics, and Ortho PACUs
• Recovers patients following anesthesia across high neuro volume, stroke, interventional radiology, TAVR, and critical care overflow cases
• Surgical case types include spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics
• Patient ratio is typically 1 RN to 2 patients, with up to 3 same-day surgery patients per RN, staffed per ASPAN standards
• Night shift staffed with 2 RNs
• Uses GE monitors for patient monitoring
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment with a 4:30 PM to 5:00 AM shift

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Critical care and/or PACU experience required
• Current certifications required: PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Stroke care experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
