Description

American Traveler is hiring a seasonal travel RN for a PACU position requiring compact or CO RN licensure and at least 1 year of recent hospital PACU experience.

Details

• Work in a PACU unit supporting Main, Surgical Robotics, and Orthopedic Surgery Center bays (59 total pre-op/PACU bays combined)
• Staff float between PACU locations as needed
• High volume neuro, stroke, interventional radiology, TAVR, and critical care overflow patients
• Surgical cases include spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics
• Standard ratio is 1 RN to 2 patients, with up to 3 for same-day surgery patients, staffed per ASPAN standards
• Uses GE monitors
• Meditech EMR
• Night shift staffed with 2 RNs
• 13-week seasonal assignment with an evening shift from 4:30 PM to 5:00 AM

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PACU experience required
• Critical care and/or additional PACU experience preferred
• Stroke care experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide pre-op and recovery care for patients receiving anesthesia across multiple surgical specialties
• Join a team of approximately 70 staff including RNs, patient care techs, and pre-admit clinic staff
• Flexible and outgoing personality traits are a good fit for this unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Local candidates are not eligible for this assignment
