Description

American Traveler is hiring a seasonal travel RN for the Operating Room, requiring 1+ years of acute care experience along with BLS and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a Main OR with 14 operating rooms, including 1 hybrid CV OR, 1 cysto room, and 12 multipurpose ORs
• Weekday schedule with 7A-5P shift
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
• Meditech EMR used, experience preferred but not required
• Typical procedures include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine cases
• No transplant procedures performed
• On-call required 5P-7P one day per week, with weekend on-call approximately once every 6 weeks if the SSC Ortho physician is on-call

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification, AHA or ARC accepted, not expiring within first 30 days of start
• Minimum of 1 year current hospital acute care experience required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration, Canadian SSN not accepted
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating and scrubbing support across a variety of surgical specialties
• Work alongside CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, Charge RNs, and Service Line leadership
• Team includes call coverage for Neuro, CVOR, and General surgery services
• Patient experience, strong communication with staff and providers, and adaptability to change are valued traits
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
