Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring 2 years of general, pediatric, and trauma OR experience.

• Work in the Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:30-07:00)
• Works Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with every other Thursday
• 13-week assignment length
• Experience with General OR, Pediatric General OR, and Trauma required
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Experience working General OR, Pediatric General OR, and Trauma cases required
• BSN required for international candidates

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility with no local candidates accepted
• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Contract nursing team members are expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside patient care duties
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
• Candidates must complete a drug test within 12-14 calendar days prior to start and be willing to repeat testing if needed
• RTO must be submitted with application
