Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN with at least 1 year of ED experience for a night shift travel assignment requiring an active compact or OK RN license.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment length
- Meditech charting system used, with experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact/OK) currently in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Experience managing dysrhythmias
- Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy
- Experience with central line care and management
- Knowledge of medication administration including IV vasopressors
- Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management
- Experience caring for ventilated patients
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
- Triage skills required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of acute and critical patients
- Holiday RTO requests are not guaranteed and must be submitted with the initial application
- Travel pairs are accepted for this position
