Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a blended ICU/CVICU night shift position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and ACLS/NIH certifications.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed blended ICU/CVICU unit within a Joint Commission accredited, 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• Level III trauma center and Certified Chest Pain Center
• Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, and trauma
• Provides advanced care including CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required to Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• CVICU experience a plus but not required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a blended ICU/CVICU patient population with complex cardiac, respiratory, and trauma diagnoses
• Orientation occurs weekly
• One call-out allowed per contract; additional call-outs require documentation and will be reviewed case by case
• 48-hour work weeks may be considered but are not guaranteed; block scheduling requests are not accepted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel positions
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ, offering access to outdoor recreation, dining, and scenic mountain and lake views
