Description

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a PACU position requiring at least one year of recent PACU experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• PACU unit spanning Main, Surgical Robotics, and Orthopedic Surgery Center totaling 59 combined Pre-Op and PACU bays
• Staff floats between all PACU areas as needed
• Approximately 70 total staff on the unit including Pre-Admit Clinic personnel
• Staffing ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients, with same-day surgery patients occasionally up to 3, per ASPAN standards
• Day shift hours vary based on surgery schedule; night shift staffed with 2 RNs
• Uses GE monitors for patient care
• Charts in Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment with 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM shift

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PACU experience required
• Required certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Preferred experience: stroke care, critical care, and/or additional PACU experience
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Pre-op and recovery care for patients receiving anesthesia across a variety of surgical specialties including spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics
