Description
American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN for a 13-week assignment in Hawaii, requiring an active HI RN license and at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience.
Details
- Work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit with 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds
- Patient ratios are 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU
- Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation with no guarantee of hours
- No on-call requirements
- Varied shift schedule
- Floating required to other acute units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
Requirements
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Minimum of 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year required
- Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred
- Experience with Meditech charting system
Additional Information
- Provide primary nursing care including telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar checks
- Utilize equipment such as Pyxis medication systems, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring
- Scrubs required for dress code
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health on Friday morning
- COVID-19 vaccination required
